Since today, the author of this programm was not clearly defined and the attributions changed often. In fact, the signature at the right feet of the lithographic play is Alfredo Muller's, even if it is not really readable.Born in Livourne in 1869,the artist came to Paris in 1888 where he was teached by Carolus Duran et François Flameng. From 1896, he begann also to engrave. The artist describes the scene where Antonio takes Julie in his arms when her husband appears
The play had to be set in scene in 1895 with a programm designed by Edvard Much, because the author asked for it: the paintor was his friend since many years. Although this was realized by Alfredo Muller, we can find an image of the norwegian artist in the theme of jealousy and in the vively constrasted masses. .
